Gent's stainless steel Breitling TransOcean sailing chronograph, quartz model A53040.1 with beautiful BLACK dial. This unusual watch features a normal stop-watch function AND a special ten-minute countdown function which is perfect for the starting procedure of most sailing races. Our MD sails in the beautiful Seabird Half-Rater "Shearwater" / No. 55 at Trearddur Bay in Anglesey and suggests that this ten minute window can often be the most exciting part of any race; spectators can watch from very close quarters there during August every year. This is a lovely example of a specialist piece, first sold in Watches of Switzerland's Manchester branch during August 1998.
